Gates Kenya 1000 Probes Closing Ceremony

GUSI leads largest ever Point of Care Ultrasound Education and Training event with 500 midwives in Kenya. With the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, 500 Kenyan midwives were trained in OB POCUS. The Closing Ceremony was held on Monday, January 9^th.

Highlights from 2022

The GUSI team traveled from Kenya to Kentucky, from Johannesburg to Sao Paulo, Guyana to Long Island, and many places in between. There was a 10x increase in online learners. 500 midwives were trained in OB POCUS. See video for more on GUSI’s highlights from 2022.

We’re thrilled and honored to announce that GUSI and MedGlobal have been awarded the 2021 MissionPOCUS grant from POCUS Certification Academy! Together we will train physicians in the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh to use POCUS.
